In 1966 the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro and the 1967 427 Corvette were introduced to the world and I fell
in love with muscle cars and hot rods.
I started drawing muscle cars, old shoebox Chevys ('55-'57), and stock cars.
Using
the cartoon style of Ed Roth, I spent many years developing the Mac's Graphix style you now see in this website.
In
1971 I made two decisions that changed my life.
I bought the first of seven 1955 Chevy's and I joined the U.S. Navy.
Four
years later I was discharged and using the G.I. Bill, earned my degree in Graphic Design from Colorado Institute of Art,
graduating in 1978.
I furthered my education by completing the Computer Graphics course from Platte
College, and a specialized class in Adobe Illustrator.
Over the next 25 years I worked in a variety
of jobs in the commercial art and printing fields, but in 2004 a lifelong love of hot rods and drawing cars led me to take
the leap and I started my own Mac's Graphix studio.
Mac's Graphix offers two kinds of car art; computer-aided
cartooning, and an illustrative style reminiscent of National Geographic car ad's of the 1950's and 1960's.
My
business philosophy is "Give them their money's worth, and then some."
I do what I love, and I love what I do.
Enjoy!
